Rick, a 1985 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, joined the firm in 1987 and has been a director of the firm since 1991. He began his practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has an active trial and appellate practice. Rick is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Ohio, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Third and Sixth Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and the Western District of Pennsylvania. Rick’s trial and appellate work is primarily focused in the areas of banking and creditors’ rights, employment discrimination and employment contract disputes, business litigation, real property disputes, fiduciary duty disputes, and Ohio Alcoholic Beverages Franchise Act disputes among national and international manufacturers and Ohio distributors. He also carries on an active transactional practice which focuses on commercial loan documentation and workouts, real property, Uniform Commercial Code, landlord/tenant and contract negotiation and documentation. Rick has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest rating awarded.
